Chairman of the screening committee of the People’s Democratic Party and Oyo State Governors, Seyin Makinde has been cautioned against succumbing to pressures from governors and other stakeholders at the screening exercise of contestants jostling to fly the PDP flag in Bayelsa and Kogi November 16 governorship elections.

In the same vein the chairman of the PDP Youths Vanguard has also called on Governor Makinde to ensure none of the aspirants who have paid N21 million to pick up form to contest at the PDP September 3 primary should be disqualified.

The PDP Youths in a statement today said the party should do everything to avoid anything that would create rancor and crisis in the family of the PDP nationwide, saying that such development would send wrong signals that PDP is not a united party.

The party youths said governors and other stakeholders in the party should not force candidates on the people by dictating for others in the forthcoming primary.

The youth’s statement signed by its chairman James Efe Akpofure further said that they are watching the actions and inactions of the leaders of the party.
