Inuwa Abdullahi Kashifu, Technical Assistant to the outgoing director-general of the Nigerian Information Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Ali Pantami, has been named the new chief executive of the IT agency.
The new DG was a principal officer at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), from where he was seconded as TA to Pantami.
Inuwa is a 2004 graduate of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
He was born on February 21, 1980. The 39 year old Inuwa, becomes the 5th DG of NITDA.
Kashifu, is profiled as “an MIT trained strategist with 14+ years of experience in business transformation, solution architecture and IT operations across both private and public sectors. Lead in planning, co-ordination and execution of 7 strategic goals (i- IT Regulation, ii-Capacity Building, iii-Local Content Development, iv-Government Digital Services, v-Digital Job Creation, vi-Digital Inclusion and vii-Cyber Security) aimed at make Nigeria a knowledge-based economy”.
Pantami, who has been nominated as minister, is widely speculated to assume office next week as minister of communication. Pantami took over from Peter Jack as DG of NITDA in September 2016.
For Executive Commissioner (Stakeholder Management) Nigerian Communications Commission, President Buhari has forwarded Adeleke Moronfolu Adewolu’s name to the Senate for confirmation as a replacement for Sunday Akin Dare.
