One of the offices of Computer Warehouse, one of Nigeria’s leading ICT Company, situated in Lekki, Lagos was on fire today. The fire started at about 10:30am. The affected office serves as a storage unit for the location. At the time of the fire few personnel were operating there, while staff in the adjoining premises were safely evacuated.

According to reports, the timely intervention of the men of the Lagos fire service saved the office complex from being razed. Though the company suffered some loses, in terms of materials, no person was reported hurt.

A statement by Anthonia Ehanmo, CWG Group Head, Brand and Marketing Communications confirmed none of its staff was hurt, adding that urgent action was taken to contain the fire, as soon as the fire was noticed.

She said, the eventual containment of the fire was achieved when Officers of the Fire Service Units arrived at the scene, ensuring the confinement of same, to avoid damage to other surrounding structures.

According to her there was some level of material loss with the building; thankfully, no injury or loss of lives were recorded as a result of this incident.

Ehanmo said the company was awaiting an official investigation to the cause of the fire, while expressing the company’s appreciation to Staff, neighboring community and indeed the dedicated men of the Fire Service Stations for their swift intervention and assistance in quelling the situation.
