A high-powered delegation from the Nigeria’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector led by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, is participating at the ongoing Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX), holding at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in the United Arabs Emirate.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive (EVC/CE) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, with some other Management staff of the Commission are also participating at the exhibition.

The annual forum, whose 2019 edition focuses on ‘Synergising the Mind and Technology Economy’, is a week-long event that commenced on October 6, 2019. GITEX is the biggest tech show in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

This year’s edition of the expo provides opportunity for the Nigerian delegation to explore the latest innovations running the entire gamut of 26 communication technological spheres, including 5G, Blockchain, Mobility, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart Home and Workplace, Cloud, Big Data/Analytics, Data centre, and Internet of Things (IoT) among others.
