The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has extended warm congratulations to Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe, Chairman-designate of the Commission’s Board, other newly appointed designate-Board members, and designate-members of the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF) Board on their appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement, by the Executice Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr Aminu Maida, the NCC described the leadership team, as constituted by the President, as comprising “highly esteemed individuals of proven competence, with vast experience and remarkable track records.” NCC expressed confidence that their collective expertise will provide the strategic direction needed to accelerate the transformation of Nigeria’s digital economy.
The Commission stated that the new appointees will bring a wealth of knowledge, strong governance capabilities, and strategic insight to strengthen the NCC’s regulatory mandate and advance the nation’s communications sector.
The NCC also expressed its profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointments, affirming its readiness to work closely with the Board and its supervising Ministry to deliver on the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria’s digital economy.
