Moniepoint Inc., one of Africa’s leading financial technology companies, has released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting a decade of transformative growth and impact since it began operations as TeamApt.
The report details the company’s significant contributions to financial inclusion, small business development and digital payments across Nigeria and other African markets over the past ten years.
Among the key milestones, Moniepoint disclosed that it has disbursed more than $700 million in loans to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), helping thousands of businesses access much-needed financing for growth and expansion.
The company also reported that its extensive network of Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals has reached over 100 million people, reinforcing its position as a major driver of financial access in underserved communities.
According to the report, 91 per cent of merchants using Moniepoint’s platform said the company’s services have improved their business operations through faster, more reliable and secure financial transactions.
In a further demonstration of its commitment to inclusive finance, Moniepoint revealed that lending to women-owned businesses has grown by 300 per cent, reflecting its efforts to support female entrepreneurs and promote economic empowerment.
The report also highlights the company’s growing international recognition. In 2025, Moniepoint was named among TIME magazine’s Most Influential Companies, while also earning a place on the Financial Times’ Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies list.
The achievements underscore Moniepoint’s evolution from its origins as TeamApt into one of Africa’s fastest-growing fintech companies, leveraging technology to improve access to banking, payments and credit for millions of individuals and businesses.
