Some days ago, I published a story titled “My GSM Story,” in which I told the story of how I got into writing and the media enterprise.
When I wrote that story, I could not lay my hands on a copy of Phones 4 All. Fortunately, I have now been able to ferret out a copy. Today, I am sharing with my esteemed readers some excerpts and images from that historic publication.
“The turning around of the nation’s telecommunications fortunes, the promotion of the tenets of transparency, openness and fair play, and the pursuit of international best practices became the administration’s signposts for attaining the goals set by the telecommunications policy.
“When revolutions begin in the life of a nation, and indeed of its people, they sometimes begin as droplets of rain, and in no time, watersheds are formed. The revolution going on in the telecommunications and information technology sector is an encouraging sign that positive changes would soon sweep across all sections of national life. The phenomenal achievements in the ICT sector are proof of this administration’s resolve.
“It is our conviction that this publication effectively captures the essence of the giant strides of government towards frog-leaping telecommunications development in the country. I wholeheartedly commend the book to readers.”
